My husband was talking to our daughter and he said “Do you know how much daddy loves you?”. She threw her arms up in the air and replied “BIG!”. Her response reminded me of the much quoted verse John 3:16 – ” For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Most people, Christian or not, have heard this verse. God doesn’t just love us, He SO loves us! The best thing about God is that even when we make poor choices, He still “SO LOVES” us! His love isn’t based on what we say and do (thank goodness)!

My daughter brings so much joy to our lives! You and I bring joy to God. I’m sure we make him laugh (some of us more than others) and smile! He loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). We can count on God’s love no matter what!

Thanks for reading! I hope you were encouraged today! EnJOY your day!

Wait (What Am I Thinking)

“Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” Psalm 27:14

Last night, I opened my Bible to read and I happened to open it up to this verse. It was highlighted so it jumped out at me!

In the Strong’s Concordance wait means “to expect, patiently” and courage means “to fasten upon, to seize, be strong”. The word strengthen means “to be alert, confirm, steadfastly minded”.

My husband and I are “waiting” on the Lord regarding a transition in our lives. It’s exciting and challenging! When I feel myself getting impatient, I just keep reminding myself to WAIT!

WAIT does not mean: What Am I Thinking…although our minds might think this especially if we feel we have been waiting a long time. We try to talk ourselves out of what we believe God is telling us to do. Ever been there? If something doesn’t happen in our timeframe we get impatient.

As I listened to my Pastor preach last Sunday about patience, he reminded me that the Bible doesn’t tell us that we need to pray for patience, it says for us to let patience have its perfect work (James 1:4). It’s our choice to LET patience in!

As we wait on God we gotta count it all JOY…knowing the testing of our faith produces patience (James 1:2-3).

I hope you were encouraged! I am JOYfully WAITing!

Psalm 103:1-3 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,”

What an incredible verse! It’s full of God’s goodness and character! I was praying this verse over my family today and the part that really jumped out at me was “Who redeems your life from destruction”.

Destroy means “to render ineffective or useless; to put to an end.”

Because of God, our lives are redeemed from being useless! Redeemed means to buy or pay off.

I believe our lives are under construction, which means “to build or form by putting together parts”. We’re a work in progress!

God is in the building business, not the demolition crew.

I hope you are encouraged by this verse! I sure am!
