A friend from High School posted in her facebook status that Impossible means “I’m Possible”. Such a great way to look at this word!
I love it!
Could you imagine an angel coming to you and telling you that you were going to be impregnated by the Spirit of God?
Ok, first of all, if an angel approached me I think I would need a pair of Depends (diaper)!
Luke 1:35-37 “And the angel answered and said to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.'”
I thought it was interesting that when the angel talked to Mary, he FIRST told her that she was going to give birth to the Son of God.
Ok, yep, impossible situation in our minds!
The SECOND thing the angel said to her was that Elizabeth, the one who was considered barren, was 6 months pregnant!
I believe the angel told Mary about Elizabeth to build her faith! A barren woman was now prego!
Now Mary could believe that “impossible” thing could happen to her.
“For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.” Luke 1:37
So that “thing” that seems “impossible” is Possible!
I hope you were encouraged today! 🙂
