Change The Channel

Standard

A man with a remote control. It is clearly their superpower. You don’t touch it. Period. Even if they are sleeping while watching the TV.

I remember trying to grab the remote off the couch (which happened to be next to my sleeping dad) and I quickly changed the channel. He would say (in his sleep) “Don’t change the channel, I was watching that!” Sound familiar?

There have been many times we have been watching tv with our 3-year-old daughter and we had to quickly change the channel due to the graphic content on the commercials. Have you ever been there?

Have you ever worried about a situation or had negative thoughts about yourself? You find yourself stuck in an unhealthy thought.

Maybe it’s a haunting thought from your past. Something you’re dwelling on that you can’t change.

Change the channel.

Change what you’re thinking about.

Philippians 4:8 says “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Changing the channel to Philippians 4:8 puts an end to doubtful unhealthy thoughts.

God has great plans for you! Thanks for reading!

Joyfully His!
