Have you ever gotten excited about the little note inside your fortune cookie? I grew up thinking that lightning would strike me if I dared to open a fortune cookie.
People get so excited about what their fortune cookie says! Even if it says “You are going to have some new clothes.” or “The fortune you seek is in another cookie.” HA!
The funny thing is, there have been millions of the same “fortune” printed. They are really so random and definitely not unique!
My Pastor said something that really made me think…
“People are so hungry for someone to give them good news.” Isn’t this so true?!?!
Speaking of news, wouldn’t it be amazing if the Five O’clock news only shared GOOD news? 🙂 We would live in a whole different world!
I am so thankful that God’s Word is THE good news. It’s not an accident that the word “Gospel” (God’s Word) means “good news”.
The Bible is full of good news that truly applies to you and me! For example, I consistently tell my daughter that in Hebrews 13:5, Jesus says He will never leave or forsake her!
That verse is just one of many examples of God’s goodness and faithfulness!
I encourage you to dig into God’s Word and find those “good news” verses to stand on!
